Got old t-shirts? Here's a simple and easy way to re-use whatcha got! I found this idea from a Disney family magazine...

supplies:
-an old t-shirt
-extra wide double fold bias tape
*********
Now you can either hand stitch this together or you can use the sewing machine. I used my handy-dandy sewing machine... my personal weapon of choice!

Grab your t-shirt (wrinkles and all).

Lay your shirt out nice and flat. Cut one sleeve off. Make you sure you cut a wide enough hole.

Fold your shirt over in half like so. You are going to use the side you cut as a template to cut the other sleeve.

Lay your shirt open. Your cuts should look like this.

Now cut a wider opening at the neckline of your shirt.

*Optional*
You can cut the bottom of the shirt, depending on how long you want your bag to be.
Flip your shirt inside out and sew shut the bottom of your shirt. I double stitched the bottom for added security.

Flip your shirt right side out.
Grab your bias tape and begin to wrap the tape around the sleeves and neckline. The bias tape will help hold the shape of your shirt.

To finish off the end of the bias tape, leave an inch overlap...

fold in 1/2" of the bias tape in like so...

lay the folded side down on top and sew.

I sewn both edges for added security and strength to the bag.

And there you have your t-shirt bag!!!
